Sinharaja Rain Forest is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. It’s of international significance and has been designated a biosphere reserve and world heritage site by UNESCO. The reserve is only 21 km from fast to west and maximum of 7km from north to south. But it is a treasure trove of endemic species, including tress, insects, amphibians, replies, birds and animals. Birds tend move in maxed feeding flocks, invariably led by the fearless greater racket – tailed drongo and noisy orange billed babbler, of Sri Lanka 26 endemic bird, the 20 rainforest species.
